"Most beginners bounce between random YouTube videos and never really feel like a drummer. Drums With Willie changes that — you'll follow one proven path that turns confusion into confidence, one lesson at a time."
Get a feel for the program and the transformation waiting for you inside.
This program is designed around one goal: turning a complete beginner into a drummer who can sit down, feel the groove, and own the kit.
Every unit of the program develops all five skills simultaneously — so you grow as a whole musician, not just a "one-trick" player.
Build real stick control through essential rudiments — single and double stroke rolls, paradiddles, flams, drags, and more. Develop speed, control, and accuracy that transfers directly to the drum set.
Understand how rhythm actually works. Learn to count and feel quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes, triplets, and shuffle patterns — building the internal clock every great drummer needs.
Learn to read drum notation from scratch. You'll translate written rhythms directly to the kit so you can pick up any drum part, method book, or chart with confidence.
Apply everything to real music. Master fundamental rock, shuffle, swing, and triplet-based grooves using hi-hat, ride cymbal, snare, and bass drum — the foundation of playing in a band or recording.
Create your own drum fills and variations. Learn to move rhythms around the kit, flow between grooves, and express your own musical ideas — while keeping steady time.
Every unit comes with professionally written sheet music covering all five lesson areas — so you can follow along, study away from the kit, and practice with precision.
Print it, mark it up, take it to your lesson, bring it to the kit. The sheet music is yours to use however helps you learn best.

By the time you complete the program, these aren't just concepts you've heard of — they're things you can actually do.
The program progresses through three levels — each containing six units — with every unit covering all five skill areas simultaneously.

When I built my step-by-step piano program, I knew I wanted a drum version that worked the same way — clear, structured, and built around real musical skill. There was only one drummer I trusted to teach it: Mike Marble.
Mike has played drums in more bands and recording sessions than he can remember — from R&B legend Angel Rissoff to The Police Files tribute band with Atlantic Records guitarist Ira Siegel, to the hugely popular cover band The Bookends. He's toured the U.S. and Europe and been featured in Modern Drummer magazine.
He's also been teaching drums privately for over 30 years. His students include Zac Coe (who played drums on Broadway at 16 in 13, and is Jason Robert Brown's favorite drummer), Tyler Levander (David Cassidy's son's drummer and rising producer), and singer-songwriter Jesse Terry.
Mike studied with master teacher Gary Chester — author of The New Breed — along with Ed Soph and Afro-Cuban great Frankie Malabe. He's known for rock-solid groove, infectious enthusiasm, and the occasional high jump off the drum stool at the end of a tune.
